What you see here is a hand polished 40mm case made of 316L stainless steel with an angular, octagonal silhouette and a water resistance rating of 100 meters. Handsome and dressy at only 11.9mm thick. In striking contrast with the rounded off sides, the top and bottom surfaces are completely flat with wire lugs connecting them to the navy blue, genuine crocodile strap.
Intentionally designed to have no number indicators for simplicity, the two tone dial under the domed sapphire crystal glass is our modern take on the classic sector dial in salmon color.
The accented blue plated hands are gem-cut and made of brass. The railway minute track surrounds a circular satin-brushed chapter ring highlighting the embossed hour markers. Decorated with a circular guilloche, this is the first time we've ever incorporated a seconds sub dial on any of our dials. The sub dial is intentionally marker-less - we feel that with dress watches, most people don't really read time with accuracy down to seconds, let alone on a small sub dial that is often difficult to read. So here, the sub dial is purely for aesthetics and serves as an indicator of whether or not the movement is still powered.
On the back is an exhibition style case back with a blue tinted window looking into the renowned and highly reliable Sellita SW 260-1 that powers the watch with a 38 hour power reserve.
